I explore the experience of memories through the lens of my eyes, camera, and computer. The relationship between a digital and physical process merges into an ornament made out of paper. The intriguing images that I encounter sit behind me as tattoos etched in my mind. I investigate the transformation of such memories into spatial forms. I take photographs of places I visit, and the images are duplicated multiple times. This process requires cutting each small image, repeatedly tracing the outlines of my memory, until the white space on paper acquires its own identity. The spaces where images are absent yield to the imagination’s discovery of the hidden and unknown.
