Émilie Mulcahey

St. Louis, MO

Émilie Mulcahey was born just outside the northern industrial city of Cleveland, Ohio, but spent the majority of her youth in rural North Carolina. Trained as a jeweler, she constantly questions the role of accessories as functional objects. Mulcahey has worked as an independent jeweler in Richmond, VA and co-heads the collaborative art group, Collab-A-Craft. In 2014 she co-curated the online social media campaign #ThisIsABrooch and was selected as an Emerging Artist for the American Craft Council Hip Pop Program. Currently Émilie is an artist in residence at Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design in St. Louis.
