Jewelry Class at Heidi Lowe Gallery

Our classes are a fun way to be creative in a stress free environment. Each class is taught with beginners in mind as students learn basic metalsmithing techniques including sawing, hammering, soldering, filing, sanding and finishing.

We use sterling silver to create the jewelry, which can be customized to your personal style. The cost of materials is included with the class.

Ring Making Process
Rings! Rings! Rings!

Wednesday, October 16, 23, 30, and November 6
10am - 12:30pm

Rings! Rings! Rings! explores the ring inside and out.  The ring is personal and intimate and provides a great format to expand your skills.

This class is for beginner and intermediate students who want to learn and improve metalsmithing and design skills such as sawing, filing, bezel setting, piercing, soldering, forming, and finishing.

Our first class starts with a textured band ring.  This allows students to try all the basic techniques in a quick and easy ring they will wear out the door that night.  In the following classes, students will build upon this knowledge to create two additional rings: one with a bezel set stone, and an overlay ring that will push students to develop their piercing and soldering skills.

Students will leave with three rings and many skills they can apply to other jewelry formats.
