Jewelry Class at Heidi Lowe Gallery

Our classes run from 6-9pm and are a fun way to be creative in a stress free environment. Each class is taught with beginners in mind as students learn basic metalsmithing techniques including sawing, hammering, soldering, filing, sanding and finishing.

We use sterling silver to create the jewelry, which can be customized to your personal style. The cost of materials is included with the class.

Mandala Pendant

Tuesday nights in February: 12, 19, 26, and March 5

A mandala is a geometric figure, usually a circle, that represents the universe, wholeness, balance, and eternity.  It is said that mandalas represent a dreamer's search for completeness and self unity.

During this class, students will learn and use basic metalsmithing techniques to create a mandala pendant.  During the first class we will design and create a layout for our mandalas, including choosing imagery and a special stone.  Throughout the following weeks, we will learn interior piercing, filing, and stamping.  The final night will be spent adding final touches to your mandala including setting your stone, adding patina, and polishing your pendant.

My hope is that these beautiful pendants will be cherished reminders of peace.
